An E-cheque from Paypal is an alternative to an instant money transfer facility. Generally there is a time lag of 7 to 9 days for the e-Cheque to get cleared. A seller will generally dispatch the goods even if the transaction has not been completed. A user who wishes to abuse the system can do it in the intervening period. If the scamster complains a fraud to the bank and the bank in turn reports the same to Paypal you will stand to lose and your Paypal account is debited. It is important to note that as a seller you are not protected by Paypal. There are certain protections that must be taken when one is using a Paypal e-Cheque. It is absolutely unsafe to accept e-Cheques from an unconfirmed address. When you are selling, it is always advisable that you check the buyers credentials and how long has the person been buying in e-bay. All these small precautions can help a seller to protect themselves from the wrong intentions of a user.
Other precautions which can also help are contacting the buyer before shipping, getting the buyer’s phone number, for high value items it is advisable to check the electoral register of the buyer. Also the courier deliver person should be instructed to deliver the item only in the house and not to someone on the road. This also helps to ensure that you are selling your goods to an authentic buyer. E-Cheques are a good way to get paid but instant transfers still scores higher.

Merchants doing business have very limited scope of offering discounts to their customers. Paypal coupons help merchants to do exactly that. As an online merchant you can offer your customers Paypal coupons on eBay items. A customer can redeem a coupon with a seller who accepts payments through Paypal. The coupons are transferable and can be used by anyone if there is no e-mail address mentioned on the coupons. If an e-mail address is mentioned only the owner of the coupon can redeem it. A customer can receive a coupon either through an e-mail, a website offer or from mailed catalog or postcard. The coupons contain a redemption code that must be entered to redeem the coupon.
If a customer wants to use a Paypal coupon for making a purchase the coupon can be redeemed for making a purchase with a seller who accepts Paypal as a mode of payment. The coupons are converted into currency and the seller is not aware that the payment has been made by a Paypal coupon. Redemption codes can also be used by a buyer to make payments in different currencies. Though some specific redemption codes are tied to currencies a buyer in most cases can use codes for payments in different currencies. A buyer can also use more than one coupon for a single purchase but there are some limitations that are indicated on the coupons. Paypal coupons help both buyers and sellers to enjoy a good shopping experience on E-bay items. If you have not got the benefits of Paypal coupons yet, ask your merchant to shower some discounts.

Millions of dollars are transacted online through online payment systems like Paypal, E-Gold, Google checkout and others. As a merchant who uses Paypal services you have liabilities associated with all your transactions on Paypal. Sellers who accept credit card payments run the risk of chargebacks if the client disputes the charges. All Paypal payments are verified using industry standard checks and fraud prevention technology. Paypal blocks buyers who it feels have a high risk of fraud. These are done using industry standard fraud prevention and risk management mechanisms. If you choose a transaction which is not covered by the seller protection policy you are solely responsible for any fraudulent refunds that occur to your account. Paypal has a buyer complaint policy and this only applies to tangible, physical goods which can be shipped and excludes all other payments including but not limited to payments for intangibles, for services or for licenses and other access to digital content. Paypal also has a buyer protection policy which states that the item sold in the listing must be tangible, physical item or good which can be shipped. Incase there is any dispute on any intangible sale it is always advisable that you inform Paypal of the sale.
If you have any disputes regarding fraudulent refunds it is always advisable that you discuss the same with Paypal and try to get your money recovered. As the world’s number one online money transaction system Payplal has advanced systems to track frauds and if negotiated with sufficient proofs there are chances that your money will be recovered.

There have been instances when Paypal has suddenly downgraded accounts from premier to personal. There have been instances when Paypal has even frozen accounts without any information. The limit that I have in my own account is $2500. As a premier member there are certain charges that are deducted from my account when money comes into my account. A limited account status happens as a measure of fraud prevention or if you have failed on delivery of goods. With a limited account status you can have limited transactions on your account. If the limit is sufficient to carry out your transaction then you should not have any problem.
The problem starts when you have transactions that are exceeding your limit. The foremost step that you should take is having an alternate option such as E-Gold. This will help you minimize delay in circulating your money. Though E-Gold may not be as popular as Paypal but it widely accepted. There is a general trend that many merchants are opting for an alternative payment option and they are finding it quite beneficial. There is nothing much that can be done if your account has been automatically downgraded. It will be a futile exchange of emails which will result in you losing time. TradeEnable is another payment system which allows you to do transactions over the Internet. Other systems are e-Charge Phone and Mondex.
You should do a due diligence before you decide on which one to use. Your objective should be to give an alternative to your customers to make payments. Keep using your main transaction system and always keep an alternative system as a backup. This is the only way towards a successful e-business entrepreneur.

Many people face problem with Paypal and there are innumerable stories on the Internet about the quality of service they offer. I use Paypal only to order checks and receive payments into my PayPal account. As far as my knowledge about Paypal goes, there is no way that you can reverse a payment that you have made to a seller. You can contact a Paypal representative if you have made any payment mistake. Paypal as a company can reverse payments even from your bank account if the transaction has been done electronically. You cannot challenge Paypal because when signing the Paypal agreement, you need to agree to their terms and conditions. One of their terms says that Paypal can adopt any means to recover losses and mitigate risk. It is always advisable that you take utmost caution when you are dealing with Paypal. Otherwise you may land up in a scenario where you may stand to lose your hard earned money. I have seen many sellers asking this question, if they can reverse a payment. I have not been able to find a convincing answer to this question.
There are other problems associated with Paypal such as declaring a payment complete when the money has not yet been realized from the buyer’s bank account. This also causes tremendous hardships to the sellers as they sometimes fail to receive payments. All these problems sometimes makes Paypal a frustrating experience. However we need to understand that Paypal is still the leading online money transfer agency and they are taking necessary steps to make transactions as smooth as possible.
